LOCAL RUN BOARD

Build a Bucket Tracker

Choose the run you are playing, then record one pick at a time. This tracker saves locally in this browser.

What this page does

The Build a Bucket tracker keeps a readable record beside the official game while you make each choice. It is for players who want to remember which player supplied an attribute, inspect a weak grade after the draft, or keep evidence for another attempt. Choose Guard or Big and the matching mode before starting. Classic and All-Time load the ten labels observed for that role, so you can begin with a named board instead of an empty notes document.

Each entry keeps the slot, player, selected trait, visible grade and optional OVR together. The board shows how many player-and-trait pairs you have completed and the lowest recognized grade among those pairs. Add the final OVR to preserve the result you actually saw. You can then review the saved run in the analyzer, export its full JSON record, or copy a short summary. Records stay in this browser; keeping an exported copy is useful when you want to revisit an attempt after changing devices or clearing site data.

How to use it

  1. Choose the role and mode that match the official game, press Start this run, and check the labels before entering picks; use the observed Guard or Big presets for Classic and All-Time, keep custom labels for experiments clearly identified, and remember that the ten custom Salary Cap rows do not reproduce the separate five-category budget board or validate its spending limit, even when every row is completely filled.
  2. Record the player name and selected trait in the matching slot immediately after each pick, then choose the visible letter grade and enter the displayed OVR when available; leave unknown values empty, preserve the spelling you saw, and check the completed-slot count as you work so a forgotten player or trait remains visible instead of being mistaken for a complete record during your later review.
  3. Enter the final displayed OVR after its animation finishes, open Review this run to inspect coverage and the lowest entered grade, and use Export JSON to keep a full copy outside this browser; use Copy share summary for a brief text result, or Start another setup to retain the current record while beginning a separate attempt with its own role, mode and creation time for later comparison.

What it looks at

  • Role and mode: These selections determine which initial slot labels appear and remain attached to the saved record, so a Guard Classic attempt can be distinguished from a Big All-Time attempt when you review it later.
  • Slot label: The label identifies the attribute you are recording, with observed presets kept readable and custom labels available for unsupported boards rather than silently claiming that all modes have identical rules.
  • Player and selected trait: Both text fields must contain an entry before that slot counts toward completeness, which helps separate a named player with no recorded attribute from a pick that can actually be reviewed.
  • Visible grade: Recognized grades from A+ through F are compared only for completed player-and-trait pairs, and the lowest is displayed as a description of your entries rather than a measure of hidden importance.
  • Pick OVR and final OVR: Optional per-pick values preserve what appeared during the run, while the separate final field records its outcome without calculating a score or checking it against an official formula.
  • Saved timestamps and export context: Creation and update times describe the local record, and the exported file identifies its user-entered source so a later reader can distinguish your notes from a publisher-verified dataset.

What it doesn't do

The tracker does not play the game, read the official page, import a roster, or calculate the official OVR formula. A full board means its player-and-trait fields are filled; it does not prove a legal Salary Cap build, a strong player, or a guaranteed 99 OVR result. The grade menu cannot represent every possible label, so keep unsupported grades in separate notes instead of substituting a different grade.

There is no account, cloud backup, cross-device sync, side-by-side comparison screen, or JSON import. The analyzer lets you inspect saved runs individually. Clearing browser storage can remove your records, and an exported file does not automatically restore them into the tracker.

HOW IT WORKS

Record the board while the official game is open

01

Match the run context

Select the role and mode shown by the game before the first pick. Guard and Big have observed presets for both Classic and All-Time.

02

Enter what you actually saw

Record the player, selected trait, visible grade, and optional OVR. Unknown fields can stay empty instead of being guessed.

03

Finish with the result

Add the final OVR, review missing fields, then export a provenance-labeled JSON file or copy a short share summary.

What “saved locally” means

Runs are stored in this browser's local storage on this device. They are not uploaded to Build a Bucket Guide or sent to Build-A-Player. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching devices can remove or hide them, so export JSON if the record matters.

Which boards have ready-to-use labels?

Guard and Big boards in Classic and All-Time were checked on September 10, 2026. Each has 10 slots, with different skill labels for each role. Salary Cap and Sandbox keep editable labels. Your previously saved custom boards retain their original labels.
