MODE NOTE 01

Build-A-Bucket All-Time Mode

Select Guard or Big, choose the NBA Legends card, and build through 10 attribute picks. Here is how the current All-Time board compares with Classic.

What is Build-A-Bucket All-Time mode?

All-Time is the NBA Legends option on the Build-A-Bucket start screen. Choose Guard or Big first, then open All-Time. Its visible player groups include historical names such as Dominique Wilkins, Dikembe Mutombo and Bob Pettit alongside more recent players. The draft asks you to fill 10 attributes for the role you selected.

All-Time vs Classic: what can be compared?

CLASSIC

Current NBA

Labeled Current NBA on the start screen. The observed Guard run uses 10 slots, from Jump Shot to Leadership/Clutch.

ALL-TIME

NBA Legends

Includes historical player names. The Guard and Big slot labels each matched their Classic counterparts when checked.

Compare two records only when their role and mode match. A difference between one Classic run and one All-Time run is a question to test, not proof of a mode rule.

All-Time mode questions

Source: Build-A-Player game, checked September 10, 2026. Full rosters, player probabilities and scoring weights remain undocumented here.

Is All-Time mode the same as Classic?

The start screen labels Classic as Current NBA and All-Time as NBA Legends. Both inspected modes use 10 slots for each role, but the player pools and scoring must not be assumed identical.

Does All-Time use the same slots as Guard Classic?

Yes, the Guard All-Time board had the same 10 labels as Guard Classic on September 10, 2026. Big All-Time matched the Big Classic labels. This is a dated interface observation, not a guarantee about future versions.

Does All-Time mode guarantee better players or OVR?

No such guarantee is supported here. The official player-pool rules, rating weights, and probability behavior have not been independently established.
